I got this for my 2 French lop house rabbits. It's the perfect size and works great for them. It's very sturdy but easy to carry and use. The front opening door makes it easy for me to enter their pen or for them to come in and out. Highly recommend for other house rabbit parents.
Bought this play pen at the recommendation of a friend just prior to us getting our puppy. This play pen is great for keeping your puppy (or small dog) confined to a safe area if you don't feel like putting your dog in a crate/kennel; but do not want them to be outside either. The play pen can be re-sized to make the pen smaller or bigger, based on the available space and personal preference. If you have a wire-mesh crate, you can also link it to this play pen by the provided "clips" allowing your dog to be confined to a designated area while keeping their "den" nearby.
I received the 30" MidWest Exercise Pen w/ Door within a very timely manner!I opted for the square-shaped setup, and was pleased on how easy it was to place in my home. It comes with anchors if you want to place it outside as well, I like having that option available. The door is extremely useful when I need to get in and out to change out food and water, as I use it as a feeding area as well. My Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy can jump in and out of the door when opened, but it seems to be a little too high for him to constantly do it (16 weeks old), but I'm sure he'll grow into it. I've temporarily have placed boxes as steps to help him have an easier time to go in and out on his own.I'm pleased with the height of the product, as it contains my pup well, when I am unable to have close supervision of him. He moved it around the first time he was placed in, but it did not tip over with the wall edge guards put in place, so I am certain he is safe in there.
I love this product. We put our puppy's crate inside of the enclosure. We leave it open for him to go in and out when we are watching. It is like a puppy play pen. When we are busy, we shut the door, but leave the crate door open. He has a play area, and can nap as he pleases. For the first couple weeks, we had a rabbit litter pan in one corner with alfalfa pellets for the litter. He could relieve himself and it was very easy to transition him to going outside. The pellets would not hurt him if he ingested them. Our dog breeder had started him on potty training using this method. He was going outside regularly by 10 weeks. We also used this as a time out place when he was having an issue with biting as he was teething. A firm "no biting" and a 5 minute time out got the message across quickly. This play pen also helped him come to love his crate, because we were able to close it for small periods of time until he got used to it. With this product, puppy training is so much easier.
I posted a video review for the 24x30'' playpen http://youtu.be/tCeqFNyeXiAThe playpen is really big, 8 panels is a lot for my tiny 8 week old Shihtzu. I should've gotten the 24 by 24 but that's okay. The door is very convinient for us to go in and put his bed, food, water, pee pads, toys etc.Tiyhis playpen is the ONLY thing that worked when we were potty training. The first 2-3 times he whined but after that when he needs to potty, he'll go by the playpen door to hint he has to potty! Best lifetime pet purchase and worth every penny.
