I had an Basics hammock that my dog decided to poop on while we were driving to New York. I hosed it off, disinfected it and set it outside to dry. Well, then a rolling storm came swinging through town and the hammock couldn鈥檛 be dried in time for the trip home, so I threw it out (because I鈥檓 irrational). Anyway, immediately ordered this one here.So much better. The side hooks are a perfect addition to an already brilliant design, and the mesh window makes it easier for our little dog to make eye contact with us up front and not freak out so much. Fits perfectly in the back of my Mazda CX-5! Love how it covers all parts of the seat and allows the rear AC through the mesh panel. I would recommend this to any dog owner! It takes away the worry of the dogs falling off the seat thanks to the hammock aspect. It's great for long roadtrips as it allows for my dog's beds to fit perfectly.
I don't know why I delayed in getting this. I had notice my pup was scratching my back seat. The car seat cover came quickly and was super easy to install. She doesn't mind sitting in the back now. The mesh piece in front allows the A/C to get to her. We were driving when the car in front of us suddenly stopped. She would have been thrown to the floor with her seat belt attached had it not been for the car seat cover. I love it!!!
I got the car seat hammock for my dog Freda who loves to go out to Starbucks for Pup cups. The hammock has a mesh net in the middle to allow airflow so she doesn鈥檛 get too hot which is really great. The storage pockets are nice too so I can keep puppy supplies handy and it unzips on either end so I can get her out on whichever side of the car I want.
